Maybe you once thought that a medical procedure could never be cute.
You thought wrong.
Benny the hedgehog (who has his own Instagram feed) had to go see the vet about his mouth. In order to make sure everything was okay, the veterinarians decided that it would be best to put Benny under anesthesia for a bit – and the result is one adorably cuddly, sleepy hedgehog.
If the first thing that comes to mind when you think of hedgehogs is Sonic, it’s time to totally reevaluate the way you think about these cute critters.
First, the vet weighed little Benny. Look how tiny he looks on the scale!
To make sure that the anesthesia worked, they put him into a capsule to ensure he’d inhale it. He looks pretty confused…

At the end of the procedure, Benny dozed off until the anesthesia wore off. Look how adorable he is!
