1. World of Fairies Coloring Book by Sara Burrier
Release Date: January 1, 2018
I am so enamored of Sara Burrier’s realistic but highly stylized illustration method. I included her mermaid coloring book high up in my list of the best mermaid coloring books for adults, and I’m featuring her new book, World of Fairies, at the top here for the same reason. Isn’t this lineart just gorgeous?!
This book includes 20 lovely original pieces of hand-drawn artwork, printed on one side only of thin paper. There is a high level of detail and texture here that is a perfect complement to adult coloring.

2. Enchanting Adult Coloring Book by Sheryll S LaFond
Release Date: January 15, 2018
This was another fantasy art release I was excited to share with you guys this month! Sheryll S LaFond is a new coloring book author — I believe this is her first book. Still, for a first book it is very impressive!
Enchanting includes 30 original, hand-drawn illustrations “inspired by beautiful, fierce and mystical women and their bond with nature.” Each page features an animal, a fantasy woman shown from the bust up, and often there is an intricate frame around the image, though not always. The images are printed on one side only of thin paper. Included in the book also are four pages of thumbnails of the designs for color testing purposes.

3. Mermaid in Dress: Coloring Book by Ikuko
Release Date: January 16, 2018
This is one other book I featured in my roundup of mermaid coloring pages and books. Ikuko is a Japanese watercolor artist who has been gaining a following on Facebook for her unique coloring books.
Mermaid in Dress includes 20 original images by Ikuko, each printed twice for a total of 40 pages. Designs are printed on one side only of thin paper.
Want to get a copy of this unique Japanese-inspired coloring book? You can grab it on Amazon!
4. A Fairy Realm Coloring Book by Molly Harrison
Release Date: January 14, 2018
Molly Harrison is a popular fantasy art illustrator, and her series of coloring books are well-loved by colorists. One of her newest books is A Fairy Realm, which includes 25 original images of fairies, mermaids, and other mythical beings.
Images are printed on one side only of thin paper. Do not use wet media with this book; however, if you copy the designs to a heavier paper like watercolor paper or cardstock, you can use wet media.

5. Marty Noble’s Cats Around the World
Release Date: January 9, 2018
Marty Noble is a well-known and well-loved illustrator who frequently works with Dover Publications. However, this book was published with a different company, Racehorse Publishing.
Cats Around the World features, unsurprisingly, images of cats in the foreground of scenery from all over the world. There are 48 images to color, printed on one side of medium weight paper. The pages are perforated for easy removal.
Love cats? Love Marty Noble’s art? If so, you can snag a copy on Amazon!
6. Creative Haven Beautiful Angels Coloring Book
Release Date: January 17, 2018
This new book by popular illustrator Marjorie Sarnat includes 31 original illustrations of angels. The designs are intricate and heavily stylized, like all of Sarnat’s art.
Since this is a Creative Haven book, the illustrations are printed on one side only of medium weight, perforated paper.

7. Images of Joy: An Inspirational Coloring Book
Release Date: January 2, 2018
This devotional coloring book features images dedicated to joy. Passages from the scripture are interwoven with whimsical, hand drawn illustrations.
It is hard to find information about the quality of the paper and number of illustrations, but if this book is like past books in the same series, it is printed on heavy weight paper and images are on both sides of the page.
To read more about the book and see more sample images, head on over to Amazon!
8. Nice Little Town Easter: Adult Coloring Book by Tatiana Bogema
Release Date: January 26, 2018
Tatiana Bogema has been publishing the Nice Little Town series for several months now, and just released this book, an Easter edition of the series.
There are 20 original illustrations in the book, printed on one side of thin paper. The reverse of the page is printed solid black, which some colorists report helps block ink from passing through to the pages below. There is a second copy of every image.
If this book looks like your kind of coloring book, snag a copy today! There is plenty of time before Easter to work your coloring magic.
9. A Hundred Hearts Coloring Book by Steve Turner
Release Date: January 29, 2018
Here’s an interesting book! This coloring book features one hundred original illustrations of hearts by Steve Turner. The hearts are small and printed two per page on thin paper. They are the perfect size for crafting and scrapbooking, and since they are only printed on one side of the page, you can cut them out and use them for your DIY projects!
To see more of the heart designs included in the book, click the images above to head over to Amazon. Or, use the button below to add this book straight to your cart!
10. Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Designs by Tatiana Bogema
Release Date: January 28, 2018
I almost passed right over this one because of the name. I mean, this is just about the most generic name I’ve ever heard of for a coloring book, don’t you agree? However, I was really impressed by the designs inside, and just had to include it, even though I already included Bogema’s Easter book from her Nice Little Town series two books above.
This book can be best described as still lifes of everyday objects. Many of the pages include food, though not all. I like the realism in the designs. There are 25 original illustrations to color, printed on one side only of thin paper. Like her other book, the backs of these pages are printed solid black to combat bleed-through. Each design in the book is printed twice, for a total of 50 designs.
If you like the look of the sample images above, check out more previews on Amazon!
So there you have it — ten brilliant new releases for the month of January! Stay tuned — before you know it, we’ll be putting out a list for February!
