Dogs are a big responsibility. Some people say that when your pet sees you leave, they think you’re actually leaving for good — which is why many experts recommend you not make a big fuss about leaving your pets when you go to work or for a weekend away. It just looks like you’re saying goodbye for good.
But what does Fido do while you’re away? Does he settle down with a bone? Plot revenge on the cats? One man wanted to find out what his goldendoodle Guinness got up to while he was away, so he attached a GoPro to the dog’s collar. From the GoPro video footage, we get a dog’s eye view of what being left at home by your owner feels like.
The moment his owner shuts the door, the dog starts wandering around his home, yipping quietly, as if searching for his master. When he can’t seem to find him in various rooms or even out the window, he lays down for a nap on his owner’s bed; but not before howling mournfully in his master’s absence.
What results is a sad video, and, yes, the owner says he won’t be leaving his puppy alone again anytime soon. You’ll see why:
