Ahhh, Valentine’s Day. Love is in the air. Stores everywhere are decked out in shades of pink and red and gold.
What better way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit than to do a little seasonally-appropriate coloring?
Get your reds and pinks ready — here are some fun and festive coloring books perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I’ve scoured Amazon for high quality Valentine’s Day coloring books that fit the season. Some are specifically themed around the holiday of Valentine’s Day, while others are just themed around candy and flowers. A number of books did not make the cut, because I was not happy with the quality of the illustrations or they received poor reviews for other reasons (such as paper or printing quality). Click through the images to any book to see more about it, as many of these books you can preview on Amazon!
As usual, I’ve included preview images for any books where they were available, and also made notes about the quality of the paper, whether the printing is single or double sided, and so on.
I hope this list helps you find your next favorite coloring book! :) For more suggestions, check out my master list of adult coloring books, or see some of my other coloring book collections. Sign up below to find out about new lists I put together!

Sometimes, you just want to color in pretty pictures of flowers. For times when you’re feeling like that, there’s this gorgeous book by Creative Haven.
I have recommended this book before, but it’s because it’s just so beautiful! The novel thing here is the stunning black backdrop, that makes the thin stems and lively petals really pop off the page. It really makes for a nice effect once everything is colored in! It also makes this adult coloring book a great choice for markers (as long as you protect the page behind the one you are working on) because the black is pretty forgiving. Went a little outside of the lines? No one is ever going to notice.
Since this is a Creative Haven book, you know the pages are single-sided (nothing printed on the reverse) and they are also super easy to detach and remove from the book because they are perforated. The paper is a medium weight that supports colored pencils and markers well. This book features 31 designs of varying complexity. Some of the illustrations do get quite detailed (just look at that second page up there!!) but just think of how accomplished you’ll feel when you’ve got all of that colored in!
While this book isn’t specifically Valentine’s Day themed, heart motifs do make an appearance throughout the book (see the cover and the first sample page above to see some examples). This really is a stunning choice for all year long.
Happy Valentine’s Day Coloring Book Doodle Book
This book really is cute. It features 40 illustrations printed single-sided (with nothing on the reverse).
The theme is unabashedly Valentine-y: hearts, chocolates, roses, cupcakes, and more make an appearance. As the name implies, the illustrations are a bit doodly — they look cutesy and hand-drawn, which makes for a really charming coloring book. I love that page of cupcakes!!
The images themselves are pretty simple; a few of the pages veer into the “intermediate” range but I wouldn’t say that there is anything overly complex here. It’s just a nice easy coloring book for relaxing and celebrating the season of love.
Favorite Roses Coloring Book by Dover Publications
This 1989 coloring book by Dover Publications is still in print and has one definite theme: ROSES! Climbers, floribunda, grandiflora, hybrid teas, polyanthas, and other varieties all make an appearance. Who knew there were so many breeds of roses?
The 46 illustrations are printed back to back on medium-weight paper, so use colored pencils in this one or scan the image before you use pens or markers.
Candy Kaleidoscope: an Adult Coloring Book
This Valentine’s Day coloring book puts a fun new spin on mandalas: candy! All varieties of candies make a sweet appearance in pinwheels, kaleidoscopes, and other looping and swirling designs. There are gumdrops, pepperminds, candy hearts, chocolates, hard candies, and more to color in your best candy tones.
There are 25 hand-drawn images printed single-sided in this book. Indulge in your inner sweet-tooth and pick up a copy of this adorable coloring book!
My Valentine: Coloring Book for Adults
This cute book by Majestic Coloring features 24 Valentine designs featuring hearts, chocolates, and more. The pages are single-sided on relatively thin paper. Be careful if you use markers in this book as the paper could tear if it gets too wet.
The designs themselves are definitely on the simpler side, making this a great book to share with the kid colorist in your life.
My Colorful Valentine: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book
This coloring book features 30 Valentine’s Day designs printed single-sided. The images are on the simple side and range from thinly-lined repeating patterns to bolder, thicker-lined designs.
The purchase of this book includes a link to download the images to your computer, so you can enjoy them over and over again.
